Me! (Band)
Mercy Me! (Band), Sacramento’s best in R&B/Funk received their first SAMMIE in 2002 and a second SAMMIE, 2005; in the category of “Outstanding Cover/Bar Band”, sponsored by the Sacramento News & Review. In 1999, Mercy Me! (Band) celebrated the release of their debut CD “Sooner or Later” with rave reviews and are due to release their second CD.
2008 marks their 14th year performing selections by legendary artists and including their original music in Sacramento, Folsom and Bay areas, including Lake Tahoe, and in 2005, Omaha, Nebraska for the Black Music Hall of Fame Awards.
Mercy Me! (Band) has opened for such legendary performers such as Rachelle Farrell, Najee, 2007; George Duke and other Jazz artists in 2005; the SOS Band, Midnight Star, Zapp, and Confunkshun in 2004; Tower of Power in 2003, and The Isley Brothers in 1997. They have entertained at various fundraisers and have performed cover selections on the “Blues for the Cure” CD for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for 2004, 2005 and 2006; and the Albie Breast Cancer Awareness Organization in 2007.
Mercy Me! (Band) pleases a wide fan base gaining new fans everywhere they perform!
